Dermatoscopy – also known as dermoscopy or epiluminescence microscopy – is a technique used to examine skin lesions. Dermatoscopes are used by dermatologists – and increasingly by GPs – to examine the skin during cancer screening, and other skin conditions. Having invented the first dermatoscope in 1989, HEINE is still the world leader in the manufacturing of dermatoscopes.
